Regarding regulations regarding facial photos
Valid headshot
- Image file format must be JPEG
- Image file size must be 10MB or less
- Aspect ratio should be 4:3 or 16:9
- Adjust so that the length of the face is about 70% of the vertical width.
- Only Candidate must appear in the photo
- Must be without a hat, with no background, and facing forward. However, this excludes cases where it is necessary to cover the head for religious reasons.
- It is not appropriate to use glasses that hide part of the facial organs due to reflections or rims, masks, bangs, or other decorations that make it impossible to identify the person.
- Must be clear, with no blur or shadows
- It is not appropriate to display facial features that are significantly different from normal facial features, such as smiling with an open mouth.
- The photo must be taken within 3 months of exam date
If you are using iOS11 or later
Photos in HEIF format (extension .heic) cannot be uploaded.
Please check the instruction manual for your device and change the camera settings so that photos can be saved in JPEG format.
Examples of inappropriate photos
The face is off to one side

There is a background of chairs etc.
There is a shadow in the background
There is a pattern in the background
the frames of the glasses are hanging over the eyes
The frames of your glasses are thick and cover your eyes and face.
The light is reflected on the glasses
Unable to identify the person wearing sunglasses
Part of the face is hidden by the mask
Bangs are too long and hide the contours of your face, preventing you from seeing your eyes.
the head is hidden by the hat
significantly different from normal facial appearance
Blurred due to out of focus or camera shake
There is a shadow on the face
There is noise (image disturbance)
There are dots (net-like dots) or ink smears.
There is a jaggy (step-like jagged pattern)
Image processing such as deformation and masking (edging) is applied.
