Notes
If you do not meet the following requirements, you will not be able to take the exam. Even if you are unable to take the test, Test Fee will not be refunded.
- Identification Document must be original and within the validity period. Electronic media are not valid.
- If Test Center reception determines that it is difficult to verify your identity due to dirt or scratches on your face photo, makeup, clothing, facial expression, etc., that Identification Document will be invalid. Please provide another valid Identification Document.
- The name on Identification Document must be the same as the name on which the reservation was made.
If the surname on the reservation registration differs from the surname on Identification Document due to name change or marriage, please submit a credit card with the surname on the reservation registration printed (handwritten is not allowed) in addition to Identification Document. Please be sure to bring one of the following: , cash card, employee ID, membership card, etc., and present it when verifying your identity at Test Center.
"Employee ID cards" are limited to those that meet all of the following conditions.
- The company or organization name must be listed.
- Your photo must be printed on a plastic card. Or, the affixed face photo must have been processed with a stamp, embossing, or lamination (only the face photo is acceptable, not the entire employee ID card).
Student IDs must meet all of the following conditions.
- Issued by junior high schools, high schools, technical colleges, universities, graduate schools, vocational training schools established by public institutions, and vocational schools approved by prefectural governors.
- Your photo must be printed on a plastic card. Or, the student ID card must have a face photo affixed to it, and must have been processed with a stamp, embossing, or lamination (only the face photo is acceptable, not the entire student ID card).
If you do not have Identification Document listed above, an official certificate with a photo issued by a public institution in Japan may be used as the document required for identity verification.
Please be sure to contact customer service at least 5 business days before the test date to confirm whether the official ID is valid for identity verification. If you bring it on On the test day without having it checked in advance, you will not be able to take the test.
