1.Purpose of use of personal information obtained through methods other than direct writing

Test applicant information

To perform test registration or Scheduling procedures, test administration, processing test results, and requesting Test Fee on behalf of the test organization.

(When taking the exam, we may collect personal information that requires special consideration from applicants in order to provide appropriate support, such as the use of wheelchairs or medical equipment.)

Personal information obtained in connection with inquiries To respond to inquiries received regarding customer examinations, etc.
Personal information of employment applicants To conduct recruitment selection of human resources required by our company
Personal information of current employees To carry out personnel management operations and communications within our company.
Personal information of retirees To perform personnel management operations for retired employees as stipulated by law and to contact them as necessary.
Personal information of business partners To conduct communications related to business with our company, such as greetings, etc.

(2) Providing personal information is voluntary, but if you do not provide it, we will not be able to achieve the purpose of use described in 1. above, and there may be problems such as not being able to take the test.

(3) Our company may outsource some of the handling of personal information to a subcontractor within the scope of the above-mentioned purpose of use of personal information. We will implement appropriate safety management measures for our subcontractors.

(4) Measures taken for the safe management of retained personal data are as follows.

  1. Formulation of basic policy
    Our company has established a personal information protection policy based on the Personal Information Protection Act and JIS Q 15001 with the aim of properly managing personal data.
  2. Establishment of regulations regarding the handling of personal data
    We have established internal regulations based on our personal information protection policy regarding how to handle personal data, who is responsible, and what their duties are.
  3. Organizational security control measures

    In our personal information protection management system, we have clarified the scope of employees who handle personal data and the scope of personal data handled, and have established a reporting and communication system in the event that we become aware of facts or signs of violation of laws or handling regulations.

    In order to handle statistical analysis and inquiries requested by test organizations, we may outsource the relevant work to Prometric 's U.S. headquarters and group companies in Malaysia and Ireland. In such cases, we implement safety management measures based on information provided by the Personal Information Protection Commission and after understanding the system regarding protection of personal information in the foreign country.

3.Requests for disclosure of personal information, changes to Prometric ID registration information, and other inquiries

(1) When we receive a request from you to notify us of the purpose of use, disclose, correct, add or delete content, stop using, erase, or stop providing your personal information to a third party (hereinafter referred to as a "request for disclosure, etc."), we will respond after verifying your identity. For details, please see "Procedure for requesting disclosure, etc."

(2) In addition, you can check the personal information registered with your Prometric ID from the "Login" page on the dedicated page for each exam, and change it from "Click here to change your registered information."

(3) Please note that personal information about customers who do not use our services for a certain period of time may be deleted.

(4) Any other complaints or inquiries regarding our handling of personal information should be made through the "Inquiries Regarding Protection and Disclosure of Personal Information" section.
