The purpose of the qualification examination conducted by the Japan Actuarial Association is to determine whether a person has the specialized knowledge and problem-solving ability required to become an actuary.
- On the third day of the exam, the first exam subjects will be administered in the morning and afternoon. Please be careful when reserving your exam Test Center, as you may not be able to take both subjects if you are at Test Center that is far away.

Scheduling
- You can book or change your exam during the booking period. Changes can only be made up to 3 business days before the exam date.
- Exams cannot be canceled.
- Payment deadlines and fees vary depending on the payment method, so please check "Deadlines and Fees by Payment Method."
On the day of exam date
- Registration is open from 45 minutes to 30 minutes before Appointment Time. If you are late for registration, you will not be able to take the exam. Please be sure to arrive within the registration time.
- You will be required to present the designated Identification Document on the day of the test. If you cannot present it, you will not be able to take the test.
Candidate Schedules
ID creation
If you do not have a Prometric ID, please create one first.
If you have Prometric ID that starts with JP, you can use it for all exams, so please log in and proceed with your reservation.
Login/Reservation/Change
Reservations and changes can be made during the reservation period. Changes can only be made up to 3 business days before the exam date. Payment deadlines and fees vary depending on the payment method, so please check "Payment Method Deadlines and Fees".
Testing Accommodations
If you require reasonable accommodation to take the test, you must apply in advance before Scheduling Test.
What to bring on the day
Identification Document
Please bring one item from the following list.
Driver's license, passport, My Number card, residence card, special permanent resident certificate, driver's history certificate

Notes
- Other valid Identification Document include student IDs issued by technical colleges, various vocational schools, universities (including junior colleges), and graduate schools.

- There are important notes regarding what you can bring into Test Center, so please be sure to check the qualification exam guidelines on the Japan Actuarial Association's "Qualification Exam Information Page."
Test Result
Pass/fail announcement
On Monday, February 15, 2027 (tentative), the examination numbers of successful candidates will be posted on the "Qualification Examination Information Page" of the Institute of Actuaries of Japan.
Furthermore, from the following day onward, the pass/fail results will be disclosed for each Candidate Candidate a website provided by the Institute of Actuaries of Japan.
Retake Policy
You can take the exam for each subject only on the day it is held. Even if you are absent on that day, you will not be able to take the test on another date.
