The training for qualification certification of pollution prevention managers, etc. is conducted for those who have technical qualifications or educational background and work experience qualifications, based on the enforcement order of the "Act on the Development of Pollution Prevention Organizations in Specified Factories."
If a person with technical qualifications or educational background and work experience qualifications takes the prescribed course after document screening and passes the final exam, he or she will be granted the same qualification as if he or she had passed the national exam.
On this web page, you can make reservations to take the final exam after completing the course.
There is no examination fee.

Scheduling
- Reservations can be made from 60 days before the test date to at least 3 business days before the test date. If the test date is a Saturday or Sunday, the deadline is 4 business days before the test date.
- Business days are days excluding Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and year-end and New Year holidays.
On the day of exam date
- Reception is open from 30 minutes to 15 minutes before the start time of the exam. If you are late to the reception desk, you will not be able to take the test, so please arrive with plenty of time to spare.
- You will be required to present the designated Identification Document on the day of the test. If you cannot present it, you will not be able to take the test.
Regarding non-disclosure of exam questions
Exam questions are not public. Candidate must agree to the following matters when applying for the exam. If you do not agree, you will not be able to take the test.
- Do not disclose (leak) all or part of the exam questions (not limited to the characters that appear in the exam questions, but also include expressions that suggest the content of the questions) to a third party.
- If (01) above is disclosed (leaked), measures such as claims for damages will be taken based on related laws and regulations.
Uploading information about the exam questions to video sites, posting it on social media, or posting it on internet message boards may also be considered as disclosure (leaking) as described above. Please note that exam questions are protected by copyright law.

If you do not have a Prometric ID, please create one first.
If you have Prometric ID that starts with JP, you can use it for all exams, so please log in and proceed with your reservation.
Login/ Scheduling /Change/Cancellation
Reservations, changes, and cancellations can be made up to three business days before the test date. If the test date is a Saturday or Sunday, the deadline is 4 business days before the test date.

If you require reasonable accommodation to take the test, you must apply in advance before Scheduling Test.

Test Result
Pass/fail announcement
Pass/fail results will be notified by the Industrial Environmental Management Association. After deliberation by the Pollution Prevention Manager Qualification Certification Course Completion Examination Committee, those who complete the course will be mailed a certificate of completion, and those who failed will be notified of their results by mail. Please note that we will not respond to inquiries regarding the content of the results.
Notification period
Those who take the final exam by December 31, 2025 will be notified of the results in mid-February 2026.
Those who took the final exam between January 1, 2026 and the end of March 2026 will be notified of the results in late April 2026.
Retake Policy
You can only take the test once during the designated period notified by the Japan Environmental Management Association for Industry. You cannot retake the exam even if you are absent.
