Prometric Japan Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: James Hagenbuscher) is pleased to announce that its efforts regarding the infrastructure for conducting examinations under Specified Skilled Worker Visa system have been featured in "International Human Flow - An Information Magazine for Everyone to Think About Accepting and Coexisting with Foreigners" (June 2026 issue), published by the Japan Immigration Association.
This article focuses on the importance of the testing infrastructure supporting Specified Skilled Worker system, against the backdrop of the expansion of the acceptance of foreign workers in Japan, and introduces the current status and challenges of testing operations both domestically and internationally. Prometric conducts Japanese language tests and tests in 11 fields for Specified Skilled Worker (i) and 7 fields for Specified Skilled Worker (ii) in 14 countries worldwide using CBT (Computer-based Testing), promoting the provision of a fair and efficient evaluation environment.
The book also introduces specific initiatives in global exam administration, such as adapting to the increasing number of Candidate, managing operations according to country-specific characteristics, and addressing differences in payment environments and systems for overseas exams.
Prometric will continue to enhance its testing infrastructure to meet the expanding international talent mobility needs through the delivery of its exams, thereby responding to the diverse needs of society.
